For the past few years, housing has been a hot-button issue on Brandeis’ campus. Students have complained about the quantity as well as the quality of their living facilities, an issue that only worsens as the Brandeis budget grows tighter and dorms age further.

In the wake of a presidential election, the atmosphere on a college campus can feel charged. Regardless of the elected candidate or what policies prevail, each election cycle impacts students uniquely. This time can feel complicated and isolating for many, as a period of emotional processing and reflection. Now, more than ever, our collective well-being depends on offering support and understanding to one another, and taking care of ourselves is essential.

After months of work behind the scenes, the Brandeis Food Pantry celebrated its official opening on Friday. Located in Kutz Hall across from the Registrar’s Office, the BFP is open to all members of the Brandeis community and provides non-perishable canned items and personal care products.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, people express their love and affection for significant others, family and friends, often by buying flowers, chocolate or other gifts. This year, Graduate Student Affairs is holding a campus-wide fundraising initiative, Cupid Express, to benefit the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. This board encourages the Brandeis community to participate in this worthy initiative by using Cupid Express as the one-stop-shop for buying roses and chocolate.
