Holbrook stars at New Englands

On Saturday, in Brunswick, Maine, distance runner Mariko Tansey-Holbrook '03 captured the 1,500-meter run at the prestigious New England Division III championships.With an astounding four All-New England runners, the Judges tied for 12th place overall out of 24 teams who competed at Bowdoin College.Holbrook earned her second automatic NCAA championship qualifying time, as she set the pace with a time of 4:35.23.


Deis hosts fencing championships

During the UAA fencing championships, held Saturday and Sunday at Gosman, Brandeis finished second to New York University (NYU) in both the men's and women's competitions.


WBball upends 14th-ranked U. of Rochester

Sunday, the Brandeis women's basketball team defeated their second nationally-ranked opponent of the season, as they toppled visiting University of Rochester 50-49 at a raucous Auerbach Arena.The Judges, who are now 13-8 overall and 6-5 in UAA competition, defeated the favored Yellowjackets behind the game-high 18 points of center Danielle Fitzpatrick '04.
