Two women, two peeks at globalization's shadow

Art, experimental performance and politics all converge at the Women's Studies Research Center's new exhibit "Geobodies: A Question of Boundaries." The exhibit, which opened Thursday, focuses on bringing global, feminist and activist art to the Brandeis community.

Saving the world, one plate at a time

In support of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Women's Studies Resource Center has teamed up with REACH (Refuge, Education, Advocacy, CHange), which according to its Web site is a "domestic violence agency serving 27 cities and towns throughout Greater Boston," to host a new exhibit, "REACH for the Stars... Transform a Life." The show consists of 100 ceramic plates designed by celebrities and artists.

Three exhibits open season at the Rose Art Museum

Playing host to its largest opening crowd ever, the Rose Art Museum began the year Wednesday night with three eclectic new exhibits offering a great selection of accessible works to the Brandeis community, while maintaining the museum's stellar caliber of art.The first, "'Post' and After: Contemporary Art from the Brandeis University Collection," highlights pieces from the museum's extensive vault that walk the line between postmodern and contemporary styles.
