Boston bus now requires ID

After receiving several phone calls from parents concerned with their child's safety on the Boston/Cambridge weekend shuttle, the Office of Public Safety decided to implement a new ID checking policy.


Elections will be held to fill vacancies

Adriana Price '05 resigned as Senator for Racial Minority Students last week. Price's resignation means there will need to be an election to fill her position.After being elected as the new Union treasurer, Joshua Brandfon '05, relinquished his Union Judiciary (UJ) seat, as in the Union Charter.


Opinion: Civil liberties violations a slippery slope

It is ironic that the American people can so readily fight a war to "free" other countries from what they claim to be oppressive regimes, when they are still willing to put up with the same civil liberties violations they are freeing other nations (like Afghanistan) from on their own soil.President Bush continually says Saddam Hussein is evil, that his Iraqi subjects have no civil liberties, and that it is the United States' obligation to liberate these oppressed Iraqis.


Money request compromise reached

Union Advocate Josh Sugarman '05, and others involved in a Union Judicial case he filed last week with Union Treasurer Sophy Yem '04, have reached a settlement and the case has been withdrawn.


Brandeisians join protesters in D.C.

This weekend about 650 people were taking into custody by D.C. Police during a protest of the meeting between the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Washington, D.C.


Senate Advocate files U.J. case against Union Senate

Student Union Advocate Josh Sugarman '05 filed a University Judiciary case seeking "an immediate injunction" which would prohibit the transfer of approximately $6,750 from the Union Treasurer, he claims the Senate's actions in reclaiming money allocated last year and using it this year violated the Union Charter.
