Despite ending the first half against Washington University in St. Louis trailing by just 11 points, the men's basketball team struggled the rest of the game and was unable to make a comeback as WashU defeated the Judges 70-36.
Last weekend at the Jay Carisella Track and Field Invitational, the Brandeis men's and women's indoor track and field teams ran to several top finishes in the team's first meet of the season.
On a weekend filled with sunny, 70-degree weather, the men's ultimate frisbee team, Tron, put on a shining performance at the UOA National Championships in Greenville, N.C.. The team finished the tournament with a 2-6 record, good for seventh out of eight competing teams.With a seventh place ranking and low expectations, Sean Petterson '11 was proud of the team's overall performance."The teams we played against were much more athletic," he said.
The Brandeis men's ultimate frisbee team, Tron, has come a long way to get to where it is now. After placing second at the Ivy League Tournament 2 weeks ago, Tron will compete this weekend in the UOA Nationals Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Since her first year on the volleyball team in 2007, middle blocker Nicole Smith '11 has been a consistent force in the middle of the court for the Judges.
