Union Judiciary recieves hearing request
A request for a Union Judiciary hearing was filed Sunday by Bryan Lober '05 on behalf of Greer Hauptman '06 over the alleged unconstitutionality of the Elections Commission holding new elections last week.Hauptman won Senator for Grad Quad with a mandate during first round elections last month.
University approves worker agreement

Advisers' role limited in hearings
The founders of the student-run Office of Judicial and Academic Advocacy (OJAA) have expressed dismay over new clauses in this year's edition of the Rights and Responsibilities manual, which allegedly limits the role of advisers during University Board of Student Conduct hearings.According to Justin Gelfand '05 and Josh Sugarman '05, who founded the OJAA four years ago, the restriction drastically limits the amount of support advisers were able to offer accused students in past years.Last year, a section of Rights and Responsibilities read: "The accused student and/or his/her adviser shall have the right to question all witnesses and to view and question all evidence presented to the board during the hearing."But the revised clause states that while advisers may view and question evidence, the accused student is now the only one allowed to question witnesses.
Teaching with Bias?
Prof. Gordon Fellman (SOC) refuted accusations made in an article posted this summer at Frontpagemag.com-a political commentary Web site run by the conservative pundit David Horowitz-accusing him of indoctrinating students to share his alleged disdain for America and that he grades based on an individual's political views.Fellman said the article is "entirely inaccurate" and questioned the sources used by Thomas Ryan, the author of the article, "Leftist War Studies at Brandeis." He also asked why Ryan did not contact him for comment or quote any students to support his claims.
