Women begin fall tennis season
The women’s tennis team completed its fall season at the New England Women’s Intercollegiate Doubles Tennis Tournament last weekend, where two pairs of doubles rattled off perfect weekends. The meet, which lasted from Friday to Sunday, saw the pairs of Haley Cohen ’18 and Olivia Leavitt ’19 and Sophia He ’19 and Emily Eska ’16 turn in perfect weekends for the Judges. Cohen and Leavitt defeated counterparts from Simmons College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology during the tournament, shutting out the Simmons opponents 8-0 and topping the opposition from MIT by an 8-2 final. He and Eska were victorious over opponents from Amherst College and Colby College with 8-6 and 8-3 finals respectively.
