Search for Justice Brandeis Semester Manager in final stages
The Justice Brandeis Semester Committee is in the final stages of selecting a candidate to fill the post of JBS manager, Director of Study Abroad and committee member J. Scott Van Der Meid wrote in an e-mail to the Justice. "We are in the final stages, but need to allow our committee time to review the candidates and do the normal process required for hiring," Van Der Meid wrote.
The Brandeis employment Web site lists some of the responsibilities of the JBS manager as "managing the logistics of the program, including developing publicity, the application process, budget monitoring, and logistical arrangements for students and faculty."
In an article published in the Oct. 6 issue of the Justice, Van Der Meid said that the JBS committee had conducted phone interviews with a number of candidates two weeks ago and then invited a smaller number of applicants to interview on campus.
Van Der Meid said in the previous article that the JBS committee hoped to have chosen a JBS manager within the next three weeks to coincide with the approval process for summer 2010 JBS proposals.
In his e-mail, Van Der Meid wrote, "We hope to have the exact programs approved by the UCC by Oct. 22nd.
