Hiatt Career Center Director Joseph Dupont said the Center is now sending out an e-mail newsletter to all students that can track what links students click. He said he raised funds for the World of Work internship program. He reported that the process for submitting résumés to Hiatt has changed, that the Center is launching a group on the business networking site LinkedIn and that the center has built partnerships with the University's graduate schools.The Senate confirmed Senator for the Class of 2011 Lev Hirschhorn as coordinator for speech and protest and Vanessa Kerr '11 as coordinator for academic integrity in the new Office of Student Conduct Advisors.

The Senate recognized the Meeting and Convention Education Club. The club plans to offer students interested in event-planning careers opportunities to interact with professionals in the field and to assist other clubs with their expertise. Senators questioned whether the club had a demonstrated need for funding and whether its purpose overlapped with other university organizations.

The Senate passed an emergency money resolution of $100 toward an event hosted by the Social Justice Committee on the topic of "Search and Seizure."

Union Director of Campus Life Ryan McElhaney '10 reported that he is working on establishing an intranet for the Union's Club Collaboration Project. He said he is meeting with Dean of Student Life Rick Sawyer today after an unsatisfactory meeting with Brandeis general council Judith Sizer regarding the Student Bill of Rights.

Director of Academic Affairs Anum Khan '10 reported that the academic survey received 700 responses.

Senator-at-Large Justin Sulsky '09 reported that he successfully advocated having hot water available at Einsteins Bros. Bagels again. He reported that an ad-hoc Transportation Committee created in advance of the next Campus Life Committee discussed running shuttles earlier on Saturdays and implementing online registration for BranVans.
