(not for publication)
I would just like to express my heartfelt disappointment at the publication of Preston Neal's editorial criticizing the hard efforts of so many students, not only at Brandeis but across the world. These people are giving up massive amounts of time, energy, and money to help save lives in Darfur. Make no mistake: they are having an effect. It is exactly the sentiment of Neal that leads to complacency and a lack of action.
While Preston Neal has every right to voice his opinion on Darfur and STAND, I as a reader do not wish to see such articles in my campus newspaper. It is editorial choices such as this one that would make me more likely to read another campus publication rather than the Justice.
