Union representatives to the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee reported that there are minors in politics and history which require five courses each. Current seniors are not eligible for the minors. The senate began its meeting with a closed Executive Session to discuss an by-law concerning SAF organizations.

The senate tabled a money request from the Intramural Football Club. They asked for funds to support them in the NIRSA Mid-Atlantic flag football regional and possibly national championships. They requested $350 which broke down as a $200 entry fee and $150 to subsidize the cost of housing, the rest of which will be paid for by the participants.

A resolution to encourage Aramark to use more Fair Trade was tabled for further discussion next week.

The senate tabled a money request by the Class of 2006 that would help fund its annual Deis-a-Thon on December 4. The event is an all night dance party to raise money for cancer research. The total money request was for $2,290 and would cover items such as the D.J., food, decorations, prizes and T-shirts.
