POLICE LOG
Larceny-TheftOct. 4-A wallet was reported missing from a backpack in Goldfarb Library.
Oct. 4-A purse was reported stolen from a backpack as the reporting party used the bathroom in Goldfarb Library.
Oct. 7-A store clerk in the C-Store reported students trying to shoplift. The students dropped their items and fled the scene before the clerk could get a description.
Oct. 8-A sign was reported missing from Usdan Student Center.
Medical Emergency
Oct. 4-A female was reported with flu-like symptoms in Massell Quad. BEMCo and University Police responded.
Oct. 6--An individual reported a friend falling and sustaining a head injury in Massell Quad. The individual was conscious and alert. BEMCo responded.
Oct. 7-A caller reported a 20-year-old male in Ridgewood Quad incurred a head injury from a plastic golf club. BEMCo responded and treated the person, who refused further action.
Oct. 7-A caller reported an intoxicated male in Massell Quad. The person was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further treatment.
Oct. 7-An intoxicated male was reported in East Quad. He was treated by BEMCo and asked for no further assistance.
Oct. 9-A caller reported someone with a possible dislocated shoulder on Chapel's Field. BEMCo responded and transported the party to the Sterling Medical Center for further treatment.
Oct. 10-A caller reported an intoxicated student vomiting in a bathroom in Massell Quad. The person was treated by BEMCo and requested no further action.
Vandalism
Oct. 5-A caller reported someone throwing an object in Ziv Quad and subsequently breaking a window.
Oct. 10-University Police reported that while they tried to disperse a large group in the Foster Mods, their police cruiser was vandalized.
Alcohol
Oct. 9-An individual was reported sitting on the side of the road outside of Stoneman drinking alcohol. University Police stopped the individual, who will be charged through the University judicial system.
Disturbance
Oct. 7-A loud party was reported in the Charles River Apartments. The loud music was tuned down at the request of police. There was an odor of marijuana in the hallway, but police were unable to find the source. Other residents were also asked to turn down loud music.
Oct. 8-A caller reported a group of loud individuals in Ziv Quad. Police dispersed the 10 people involved.
Oct. 9-A caller reported loud music in North Quad. Police found nothing in the area.
Oct. 9-All university police units, including a Waltham Police officer, responded to a complaint of a large group in Ziv Quad. The University Police dispersed the group.
Oct. 9-A person in Rosenthal Quad reported a large gathering. Police investigated, finding nothing suspicious.
Oct. 9-A person in Charles River Apartments reported loud music. University Police broke up a party of five males and the asked that the music be turned down.
Oct. 9-A person reported people being loud in Rosenthal Quad. After ignored several requests to quiet down, the group was finally dispersed by the University Police.
Oct. 10-A person reported a loud group of people in Foster Mods. University Police dispersed the group.
Oct. 10-There was a report of loud chatter in Rosenthal Quad. The group was dispersed.
