Sunday, the highly anticipated swim meet against Tufts at Brandeis' Linsey Pool proved to be a challenging one for the Judges, as both the men's and women's teams fell to the rival Jumbos. The women's team lost a very close meet by a score of 152 to 148. The men's team lost to Tufts, 163.5 to 119. The women's meet, their final home event of the season, was tightly contested throughout, and was decided in the final relay. Captain Jordan RoseFigura '04 finished first in both the 100 and 200-meter freestyle events with times of 57.10 and 2:02.26, respectively.

Lalin Anik '06 performed admirably. She took home the 50-meter backstroke, 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter butterfly with times of 30.45, 26.16. and 28.25.

Shira Friedman '04 had another outstanding day, recording her second set of scores good for qualification to the NCAA Division National Championships.

Her feats came in the one-meter and three-meter diving events with scores of 245.75 and 255.80 on the afternoon. Friedman's first set of qualifying results came against Worcester Polytechnic Institute on January 25 (a 145-114 Brandeis victory). Friedman will now have to submit a video demonstrating her skills to the NCAA selection committee.

On the men's side, Marshall Goldman '03 and Pat Fei '03 were honored as outgoing seniors. Against Tufts, Goldman placed first in both the 50-meter and 100-meter butterfly events with blazing times of 24.29 and 52.89.

Noah Rachlin '05 was solid for the Judges, posting a time of 2:04 in the 200 IM competition that was a good for a first-place finish.

Next, the Judges travel to Cleveland, Ohio to participate in the UAA Championships.
