Peaking into the 1600s

One historical town my high school failed to visit was Plymouth: the spot where English Puritans escaping persecution landed after departing in 1620 in search of the "New World." The Pilgrims decided to stay in the area, which had recently been abandoned by the Wampanoag tribe following an epidemic, because of its reliable source of fresh water and the fact that the land had already been cleared by its former inhabitants.


Professor Fulton: emperor of the penguins

In addition to working on curing cancer with his wife Elaine, Chandler Fulton, professor emeritus, is writing a children's book about penguins and adaptation, titled Cool Penguins."I'm crazy about penguins," the professor confessed in his office, which can be found deep within the bowels of Kosow-Wolfson, the biochemistry building.


Club members are bad(minton) to the bone

I arrived at Gosman a little before 10 p.m. in search of a shuttlecock. I knew that Badminton Club meets on Tuesdays and Thursday at this time, so I figured I could just waltz into the gym and be surrounded by badminton players.
