Summer abroad programs approved for credit

Director of Union Affairs Jason Gray '10 will face off against Deputy Treasurer Justin Kang '09 today in the second round of the race for Student Union President after Gray gained 49.64 percent of the vote in the first round of Union elections, which ended Sunday night.Only one vote separated Village Quad Senator Michael Kerns '09 and Finance Board member Jordan Rothman '09 in the race for the Vice Presidency, according to the primary round uncertified results sent to candidates from the elections commissioner.

Discussion on resolution to honor Israel's 60th birthday postponed
Last week, the Student Union Senate indefinitely postponed discussion on a resolution sponsored by five senators to wish Israel a happy 60th birthday.Many senators argued that it was not the Senate's place to discuss such an issue and that such a vote might unintentionally hurt some students' feelings.

Students forced to wait in long lines for eXstaSy
EXstaSy, a party held last Saturday night in order to assess various aspects of campus social events, disappointed many students who were forced to wait outside when Sherman Function Hall reached its capacity of 500 people sooner than expected.The Student Union executive board planned the party, which was co-sponsored by 31 other clubs and was one source of dispute in the passing of the Student Union government operations budget last week.
