SunDeis spotlights schedule, special guest

In an interview with the Justice on Wednesday, the SunDeis Film Festival's Special Guests Chair Eve Neiger '09 and Communications Chair Hanna Rosenthal-Fuller '09 discussed this year's events and special guest, as well as changes that have been made to the Festival.In an effort to provide everyone with an opportunity to see the cinematic works of their peers, the festival will have three separate sessions for the screenings of student films on March 18, 19 and 21.


The Class' fails to earn high grade

I find my longest class-which clocks in at a murderous 80 minutes-almost intolerable; every Monday and Wednesday, I must summon every ounce of willpower in my being in order to drag my worthless carcass to said educational session, and along the way I pray to God that this class will not be the one in which I meet my untimely demise at the hands of boredom.

Frank Miller's 'Spirit' a lifeless affair

I didn't think there were any words to describe writer and director Frank Miller's latest contribution to cinema, but then I ventured onto the Intrawebs and stumbled across the term "LOL WUT." It's tragic, but I can't think of any better way to sum up a film that is about a dude who wears guyliner, thinks of a city as both his mother and his lover and talks to cats.But, in all seriousness, I'm quite surprised by The Spirit's quality, considering Miller's expertise in comic book-based projects; for those of you who are unaware, Miller is the writer behind such works as Hard Boiled, Elektra Lives Again, Sin City and 300, and either directed or produced the film adaptations of the latter two works.
