Sawyer promoted to VP

In an effort to consolidate departments and streamline services, Dean of Student Life Rick Sawyer was promoted to associate vice president for student affairs in July by Vice President of Students and Enrollment Jean Eddy.Eddy said she wanted to place all departments which deal directly with student life under Sawyer's control.

Mid-years voice concerns

Candidates clash over priorities

A crowd of no more than 40 students descended on the Shapiro Campus Center Atrium Thursday to listen to Student Union presidential candidates discuss the issues facing Brandeis and debate the methods with which they intend to fix them.The candidates listed on the ballot are incumbent Union President Josh Brandfon '05, Senator-at-Large Jonathan Cohen, Finance Board Chair Mark Schlangel '05 and Deniz Cordell '07.


Failures in test run delay registration

Course registration for the Fall 2004 semester-which was scheduled for yesterday-has been delayed several days due to technological problems after a mock registration testing session last Friday afternoon, according to University Registrar Mark Hewitt.Hewitt said students will likely be able to register "in a matter of days," but declined to specify further.
