Trilogies invade summer theatres, some casualties

In ancient Inca the word "summer" can be defined as either "summer" or alternatively "multi-million dollar movie.". While both definitions are formally considered correct it's the latter that has become synonymous with the months between May and September and generally defines an American Summer, wet hot or regular.


Movie roundup: 'Hot Fuzz'

The French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard coined the phrase, "All you need for a movie is a gun and a girl." While Hot Fuzz does pack plenty of heat, it proves that to be truly funny, you don't need a girl anywhere in sight.


Vigil planned for victims of South Asia earthquake

The South Asian Student Association (SASA) has scheduled a candlelight vigil for next Tuesday evening in response to the earthquakes that occurred last week on the Indian-Pakistani border, resulting in over 40,000 deaths.In lower Usdan this coming week, the group will be selling candles for $2 each for the vigil, which will be held at the Peace Circle, the small benched area outside upper Usdan.
