MLK panel discusses role of women

On Wednesday, April 6, the MLK and Friends club hosted a panel and discussion titled "The King and I." The panel explored the fight for justice told from the perspective of women who have made Martin Luther King Jr.'s "dream" their reality.

University to hold an advising week

Correction appendedThe Office of Academic Services will be hosting its first-ever Advising Week, beginning on March 28, to provide a way for first-years and sophomores to gain exposure to different academic departments.


University to offer abroad program in Israel

The Office of Study Abroad announced on March 1 that it will offer a new program in Israel starting in spring 2012.The program is designed for students who are advanced in their Hebrew language studies and want an environment in which they will speak only Hebrew with their peers and in their studies.This program marks the second joint program between Brandeis and Middlebury College, the first being a joint summer program that started in 2008, called the Brandeis University-Middlebury School of Hebrew that took place at Middlebury's campus in Vermont, dedicated to the study of Hebrew language.Students who participate in the program will study in the city of Beer-Sheva at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.


Students encounter problems reclaiming coats

This past Saturday, mashup artists Super Mash Bros. played for students in the Levin Ballroom at a concert organized by Student Events. Before the duo could play its encore, the concert was shut down by the Department of Public Safety.
