Student Events announced the results of the campus programming group's first-ever student-wide elections last Friday.Six students were elected to representative positions in the group, as part of its effort to improve its transparency and student accountability, which has been harshly criticized in the past.

The races were uncontested except for the one for Class of 2009 representative, in which Julian Glucroft '09 beat out two opponents.

Seth Coburn '10, Brian Goodman '08 and Caroline Vangrieken '07 will serve their respective classes. Jennifer Faber '09 and Shira Espo '08 will each serve as at-large representatives.

In a campuswide e-mail, Student Events Director Sarah Blaker '07 said the group hopes the representatives will "create a closer link to the students" and ensure that they "bring quality programming that everyone can enjoy."
