Pop Culture: The Game is arrested, Harry Potter car stolen
Halloween is a time for candy, costumes... and arrests, apparently? In a failed attempt to participate in the holiday spirit yesterday, rapper The Game was arrested at a shopping mall in North Carolina. The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, arrived at the mall for an autograph session wearing a mask. He was charged with disorderly conduct after he allegedly swore at police offers and refused to remove it. The rapper claimed the whole incident was a misunderstanding, stating that the actions of the police were "heavy-handed" and "unfair." According to the police reports, the police officers pepper-sprayed The Game's entourage. The police department is currently conducting an investigation into the use of force. This theft comes just weeks before the movie release of the fourth Harry Potter installment, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Currently there are no suspects, but I'm sure the Ministry of Magic is looking into the matter.

His public coming-out arrives at a particularly pertinent time, as gay marriage is currently a hotly-debated issue. The gay and lesbian magazine Frontiers, which conducted the interview with Takei, expressed a hope that Takei and his longtime partner Brad Altman will provide a positive image for gay couples. The Trekkie community, meanwhile, has been having way too much fun lately with Sulu's famous line, "Oh my!
