Faculty Take Stand on Un-free Coffee
Faculty Votes for Un-Free CoffeeLet's face it baby, the recent decision on fair trade coffee is about
freedom. As the Justice article "Faculty Takes Satand on Fair Trade"
makes celar, we are in the midst of attacks on our basic freedoms.
Freedom: to chose what coffee we want, when we want it.
Freedom: to pay South American farmers really bad prices for their
work.
Freedom: of the free market, which is a great market because its
free.
In the words of the most free president in the world (since Ronnie
Raygun)"Let's roll 'Merica." Let's roll out against this un-free coffee,
which they call "fair trade." Fairness ain't as good as freedom! And I'll
be damned if I let democratic decisions made by vast majorities of
the student body, and teachers decide what I'm gonna do. I call on
all freedom loving people at our University: teachers, students, and
especially ultra-freedom loving economists to unite. We must make
our own Freedom coffee stand to bring the people the choice of
freedom. If you buy un-free coffee you might as well just support the
Taliban. Free coffee or Death! Down with the terrorist Java City!
