Josh Sugarman resigned from the Union Executive board due to "personal reasons." He said that the Union is not the place where he wants to be at this time.
The Slam Poetry Team was recognized this week. Its goal is to allow Brandeis Students to participate in a competition where a person has a few minutes to perform a poem in front of an audience.
The Online Gamers Club requested to be recognized this week. The club seeks to congregate students through either competing or playing computer games for recreation. Because it is a growing community with a sub-sufficient unifying group, the presidents of this club thought it appropriate to start such a club. Their recognition was tabled until next week.
The Tzedek Hillel Hunger Banquet requested money from the Senate for their annual dinner. The organization requested money for their annual banquet designed to make people aware of stages of hunger and provide ideas for organizations and clubs to help battle it. Their request was tabled.
The Brandeis Cheerleading Team requested money from the Senate to purchase their uniforms and sponsor their practices. The team has appeared at men's and women's varsity team games as well as various fundraising functions. Their request was tabled.-Compiled by Jacob Olidort
