Nicole Karlebach '04 was confirmed by the Union Senate Sunday night as the new Director of Public Affairs and Communication. As Director of Public Affairs and Communication, Karlebach will be responsible for the coordination of communication between the Student Union Government and the student body. Specifically, she will be responsible for publishing press releases, maintaining the Union bulletin board, and publishing the "The Student Union Shake."

"I am very excited. I think it is a positive step for Student Union. I foresee fostering more communication between the Student Union and the student body," Karlebach said.

Karlebach has been deeply involved in Student Government for a number of years as East Quad Senator, Class of '04 Senator, chair of the Social Justice committee, and an active member of Project Brandeis University Spirit. She also has served as a Waltham Group Coordinator and as a member of the Justice staff. Karlebach returned this fall from a semester abroad in Samoa.

Karlebach will also be responsible for all communications with campus and non-campus media organizations, and will assist the Union Secretary Danny Silverman '05 in maintaining an open line of communication with the student body.
