Both members of ZaHaV, a campus Zionist group, and the Arab Culture Club read statements condeming the anti-Arab flyers that were posted around campus last week. Club charters
The Campus Girl Scouts of Brandeis University was chartered as a group on campus. The purpose of the new organization will be to work with the Girl Scouts of America and other groups in the Waltham area to promote the values and programming of the Scout organization.
Other business
The Senate recognized an new GLBT committee, currently being formed to deal with relevant political issues on campus. Members of the new commitee believe Trisk, the Brandeis GLBT club, provides a good service to the campus, but is overburdened. This ad-hoc group will work with the administrators to make Brandeis a safer and more tolerant environment for queer students and their supporters.
The Senate also passed a resolution, introduced by Senator Michael Corwin '05, condemning the anti-Arab flyers posted on campus last week.
