Many students reported problems with their cable television Saturday. Across the campus, students experienced signal problems and were temporarily unable to watch television."The campus head-end for cable, which is in Feldberg, has never had an uninterruptible power supply," Perry Hanson, Chief Information Officer and Associate Provost for Academic Technology, said regarding the problem, "It was not tied into our generator that keeps the network and servers up during such situations."

Hanson said the University will be working to prevent a recurrence. "We regret the loss of service," he added.
