Trundle '99, wins NBC's 'Fear Factor'
Tom Trundle '99 became the latest winner of NBC's reality show "Fear Factor" in the episode aired last Monday.
"Fear Factor," which is currently in its second season, is a reality show that pits six contestants against traditional fears, such as spiders, rats, snakes, heights and others in a quest to win $50,000. Those who cannot complete a task are eliminated as the contest goes on. Some tasks have included eating pig uteruses and buffalo testicles, bobbing in worms and a number of trapezes.
During his appearance on the episode, Trundle took part in a number of such stunts, including jumping on a card-board target out of a helicopter 25 feet above water, having 50 tarantulas crawl over his head for three minutes, and the final task, lying in a tube filled with 800 gallons of water. Trundle won after holding his breath under the water for just over two minutes, a feat the other four contestants could not match.
