Club Sports: Women's rugby exceeds spring expectations

Brandeis. Founded in 2000, the club team competes in a Division IV league called the New England Rugby Football Union, participating in tournaments such as the Beast of the East and Massachusetts Institute of Technology Prom Dress. The team practices twice a week in a rigorous schedule, looking to succeed in a transition season. The roster is made up of 21 players, 15 playing at any given time.


Men's Basketball: Men surge ahead of conference opponents

The Brandeis men's basketball team continues to surge up the University Athletic Association standings, making its 2-5 start a distant memory. With their two wins this weekend at home, the Judges move to third place in the conference. While the Judges had to fight off the Carnegie Mellon Tartans last Sunday, barely avoiding a monumental collapse, they held on for a 80-67 win. Last Friday, Brandeis notched its second consecutive overtime win, besting Case Western Reserve 78-74.


Men's Basketball: Men impress in conference play

Heading into 2012, the men's basketball team seemed to have finally righted the ship. After a 2-5 start to the season, Brandeis reeled off six straight wins, including two notable wins against University Athletic Association rivals University of Rochester and New York University. While snapping the streak in a 95-58 blowout loss to No.4 Emory University, the Judges have left reason for fans to be optimistic.
