Medical Emergency

Dec. 2—A party reported that a male at the Golding Health Center was having trouble breathing. University Police and BEMCo responded and requested Cataldo Ambulance. Cataldo transported the male party to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.

Dec. 4—A caller reported an intoxicated female party in Massell Quad. University Police and BEMCo responded, and BEMCo staff treated the party with a signed refusal for further care.

Dec. 4—A custodial staff member who was not feeling well requested BEMCo’s assistance at Gerstenzang. BEMCo staff treated the party with a signed refusal for further care.

Dec. 4—A staff member at Mailman House requested an ambulance for transportation to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for a voluntary psychiatric evaluation. Cataldo Ambulance transported the party for further care. University Police assisted with the transport.

Dec. 5—A party requested BEMCo for a female student who had fallen on the floor and hit her head. The student had difficulty balancing but was conscious and alert. BEMCo staff treated the student with a signed refusal for further care.

Dec. 5—A caller reported that a student in Massell Quad had low blood sugar and was feeling faint. Cataldo Ambulance was notified but did not transport the patient, who refused further medical treatment. BEMCo staff and University Police assisted the party.

Dec. 6—The manager of the Stein called to report an intoxicated party in the bathroom outside. University Police and BEMCo responded to the scene and called Cataldo Ambulance. Cataldo transported the patient to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care. The Community Development Coordinator on-call was notified of the incident.

Dec. 6—BEMCo responded to a student in the Foster Mods who stated she had cut her foot on broken glass. Staff treated the party with a signed refusal for further care.

Dec. 7—A caller reported an intoxicated female in Massell Quad. University Police, BEMCo and Cataldo Ambulance responded to the scene. The individual refused to go the hospital.

Dec. 7—BEMCo requested an ambulance for an intoxicated female in Massell Quad. University Police escorted the Cataldo ambulance and Fire Department personnel to the scene from the University’s main entrance.

Vandalism

Dec. 5—University Police compiled a report on past vandalism to the traffic gate at the Shapiro Science Center.

Disturbance

Dec. 6—A student called to report loud noise in Ziv Quad, stating that students were misbehaving. University Police responded to the scene and reported that students were having a loud party. Officers removed all students but the resident hosts and issued a verbal warning. The party was ended without incident.

Miscellaneous

Dec. 1—University Police on patrol noticed a group of males running away from Rabb steps at around 4 a.m. University Police were also informed by Waltham Police that they noticed, while driving on South Street, a sign being placed over the stone sign at the main entrance to campus. Several other signs were found on campus.

University Police removed the signs and compiled a report on the incident.

Dec. 3—University Police investigated a report of an unknown male living in a Ziv Quad staff apartment. Officers compiled a report on the incident.
