Alumna appointed to take on new role as trustee

Last November, alumna Leslie Aronzon '84 was officially appointed to the Board of Trustees for a four-year term after the Board voted to approve her selection. After being nominated during the summer of 2012, Aronzon went through an extensive process that included an interview with the nominating committee of the Board of Trustees.

Urgent repairs needed after damage to pipes

On Jan. 17, the City of Waltham Public Works crew officially began repairs on one of the South Street water mains after a leak travelled down the hill between Gosman Sports and Recreation Center and Linsey Sports Center and entered the basement of Linsey, which contains brand new electrical equipment. The work was originally set to begin on Jan.

Waltham one of three 'hottest' neighborhoods

According to a list released on Jan. 15 by online real estate brokerage Redfin, Waltham is in the top three hottest emerging neighborhoods in the Greater Boston area. The list, which was determined by sales volume value, median sales prices and sale-to-list price ratios among other factors, reveals statistics and rankings for growing communities in the Greater Boston area for 2013. The Warren Group reported that the median home price in Waltham is $378,700, and according to a Jan.

University offers two new summer JBS programs

On Dec. 3, the University announced the Justice Brandeis Semester course offerings for the summer and fall of 2013, including two new offerings and two returning popular programs. The two new JBS offerings are entitled "American Democracy: Version 2.0" instructed by Prof.

David Horowitz speaks on conservative values

On Dec. 4, the Brandeis Libertarian Conservative Union held an event in the Shiffman Humanities Center featuring notable conservative author and speaker David Horowitz discussing conservative values and beliefs. This was Horowitz's third time speaking at the University, and the event was organized through Young America's Foundation.
