ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Kwame Graves-Fulgham '08

Even though guard Kwame Graves-Fulgham '08 was held scoreless in the second half of last Friday night's 80-59 win over Lasell College in the first round of the NCAA tournament, he still made his presence felt offensively.Graves-Fulgham dished out assists on nine of Brandeis' 15 field goals and finished with 14 assists overall, representing half of the Judges' 28 on the night and breaking the school's career assist record previously held by Stanley House '89 in the process.

MBBALL: DeLuca says he'll return next season

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Joe Coppens '08

For his entire career, men's basketball guard Joe Coppens '08 has donned the No. 5 jersey. But after Coppens' shirt was bloodstained during last Friday night's game against Emory University, he was forced to wear a loose-fitting No.

Band of brothers

The Brandeis football team literally limped towards the finish line of the 1959 season. Bitten by the injury bug, the team's record was 0-7-1-the worst of the program's brief nine-year history-and a far cry from the sterling 6-1 mark accomplished just two seasons prior in 1957.

Meehan: DeLuca out for the season

Star forward Steve DeLuca '08, a two-time all-University Athletic Association first-team performer, will miss the rest of the season, unable to recover from lower back and right hamstring injuries, coach Brian Meehan said following the Judges' 71-69 loss to No.
