Medical Emergency
Aug. 23—A party near the Sherman Dining Hall hit their head on a pole. BEMCo treated the party on the scene with a signed refusal for further care.
Aug. 25—University Police received a report of a party in Massell Quad who dropped a bed on their foot. The party was treated on the scene by BEMCo and transported to Urgent Care by police.
Aug. 25—A mother called police from New York claiming her child in North Quad had suffered a facial injury.
The party was treated on the scene with a signed refusal for further care.
Aug. 25—A party in Ziv Quad reported feeling ill. Cataldo ambulance was notified for transport of a student complaining of stomach pains, vomiting, and dizziness. Upon ambulance arrival the patient refused medical treatment.
Aug. 26—A party in the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center reported a friend who was intoxicated. The party claimed their friend was lying in the grass by the bike rack on South Street. Cataldo ambulance was notified of an unconscious intoxicated party and transported the patient to Newton Wellesley Hospital for further care.
Aug. 26—A caller from Massell Quad reported an intoxicated party in the bathroom. University Police and BEMCo responded and Cataldo ambulance and Waltham Fire Department were on the scene. The party was evaluated by Cataldo staff and decided to accept the patient’s refusal request for further care.
Aug. 26—Police received a call of a party in East Quad who fell in the shower and had a slight injury. University Police and BEMCo responded and treated the party on the scene with a signed refusal for further care.
Aug. 28—Police received multiple reports of a man who collapsed in the Shapiro Campus Center. University Police and BEMCo responded and requested Waltham Fire Department and Cataldo ambulance. The party was treated on the scene and transported by Cataldo ambulance to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.
Aug. 30—A Community Advisor in Massell Quad requested BEMCo for an intoxicated party in the bathroom. University Police and BEMCo responded and notified Cataldo ambulance for transport. Cataldo ambulance transported the party to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.
Drugs
Aug. 25—The Area Coordinator in the Charles River Apartments reported the smell of marijuana. University Police were dispatched, and the Area Coordinator said they would handle the situation. Police compiled a report on the incident.
Vandalism
Aug. 23—Police received a report of vandalism in a bathroom in East Quad. Police compiled a report on the incident.
Larceny
Aug. 26—Police received a report of the larceny of a MacBook Pro from the Rabb Graduate School of Continuing Studies. Police compiled a report on the incident and told the LTS Department to be advised.
Aug. 27—A party in North Quad reported the theft of clothing from their room. Police compiled a report on the incident.
Other
Aug. 24—University staff reported two possibly intoxicated suspicious individuals in the vicinity of Fellows Garden. University Police found upon further investigation that the individuals were employees and not intoxicated, and they were cleared without further incident.
