Medical Emergency
Oct. 18-A male in Ziv Quad was reported to be intoxicated and feeling ill.
Oct. 19-A caller reported that a student in East Quad had fallen and had injured her head. It was determined that the student had suffered a deep laceration to her forehead. The student was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Oct. 21-A female in Goldman-Schwartz reported feeling faint, dizzy, and was having trouble focusing her eyes. BEMCo transported the patient to Health Services.
Oct. 21-A caller reported that a student had injured his finger while playing baseball on the athletics field. The student was transported to Sterling Medical Center.
Oct. 23 - A caller in North Quad reported that a male was possibly under the influence of hallucinogenic mushrooms. The Quad Director was notified and was on the scene. The patient was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further treatment.
Oct. 23 - A caller reported that there was an intoxicated male vomiting outside Ziv Quad. The individual became uncooperative, and other officers reported to the scene. The patient was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital and the Quad Director was notified.
Oct. 24 - A caller reported that a woman in East Quad was having a seizure. BEMCo responded and requested an ambulance. The patient was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital and the Quad Director was notified.Traffic
Oct. 18 - There was a minor 2-vehicle accident in M-Lot.
Oct. 18 - There were minor scratches on the front bumper of a car outside Stoneman.
Oct. 22 - There was a two-car accident off-campus. Waltham Police were notified.
Drug
Oct. 20 - The Quad Director and CA of Rosenthal said that they saw drug paraphernalia through a window of a dorm room. A bong and a pipe with residue of a Class D substance were confiscated.
Larceny-Theft
Oct. 18 - A student in Usdan reported his keys and wallets were taken from the cafeteria.
Oct. 21 - A Police Officer investigated a larceny at the Abraham Shapiro Academic Building.
Oct. 23 - A student in Rosenthal Quad reported that his iPod was taken from his room after his roommate left the door unlocked.
Vandalism
Oct. 21 - A caller reported that a front glass door in the Charles River Apartments was smashed. Upon police arrival, both windows on each side of the door were found to be smashed. One window was cracked, the other window was fully smashed, and broken shards were hanging. A cleanup was performed.
Disturbance
Oct. 19 - A caller reported that a male was banging on a front door in Ziv Quad. The area was checked, and the suspect was unable to be located.
Oct. 20 - There were two calls for rowdy students in Massell Quad celebrating after Game 6 of the ALCS. It was a small group, and there were no problems. The Quad Director met with officers, who requested that police check Ziv Quad, stating her CA's had phoned in stating problems there.
Oct. 21 - A CA in North Quad called to report that three students were hitting a Brandeis University truck with folding chairs and knocking over garbage cans. Trash cans were found turned over, but no students were found in the area.
Oct. 24 - There was a complaint of a loud party in Rosenthal Quad. The CA requested assistance in breaking up the party. Assistance was given, and the occupants complied.
Oct. 24 - The party in Rosenthal Quad started up again right after the officers left. The Sergeant requested that the Quad Director on call be notified. The suspect responsible for the multiple disturbances was then located.
Miscellaneous
Oct. 18 - There was a report of a suspicious female wearing a cream coat and red shirt taking pictures outside the Shapiro Campus Center.
Oct. 18 - There was a report of skunks around the Ziv Quad exterior area.
