The class of 2005, Student Union Government and Lizzies Ice Cream in Waltham sponsored the Dish for a Wish event last Thursday night, brining in $750 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help support terminally ill children. The event was held in the atrium and unlimited Lizzies Ice Cream was available with a $5 donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Lizzies sold their Ice Cream at a reduced cost.

Ice Cream eaters also got to watch the Red Sox - Yankees game, which Executive Senator and Senator for the Class of 2005 Erica Lemansky said added a little rivalry to the festive and enjoyable environment. The final game ended with a Yankees victory that sent them to the World Series.

"Everybody went nuts about the baseball game and it brought out Brandeis Spirit and Moral," Class of 2005 Senator Mitchel Balsam said.

Lemansky was also happy with the event.

"It was a great turnout," Lemansky said. "We looked for a foundation that we thought was beneficial and we thought everybody would want to contribute to."

Balsam and Lemansky said that hope to have more events that gives Brandeis students a chance to convene while raising money for a charity.

"We want Brandeis a place to be where you can have fun," Balsam said.
