Women's fencing goes 3-2 at invitational

The women’s fencing team fought its way to a 3-2 record in Teaneck, New Jersey at the Farleigh Dickinson University Invitational this past Sunday. The Judges started off their day with a defeat to the 10th-ranked Temple University, with saber Ashley Jean ’17 notching two of Brandeis’ five wins in the match. She finished the day with an overall record of 12-2.



Judges split pair of weekend games

The women’s basketball team played two University Athletic Conference games this weekend, losing one and winning the other. In a rematch of last weekend’s contests against the University of Rochester and Emory University, the Judges beat Rochester 60-52 Sunday afternoon after losing to Emory on 67-61 on Friday evening. Brandeis’ record now stands at 11-9 overall and 3-6 in UAA play.









Teams go a combined 10-1 at Saturday meet

The men and women’s fencing teams cruised in strong weekend performances against regional opponents at the second Northeast Fencing Conference meet on Saturday, going a combined 10-1 on the day. The men’s squad clinched a share of the NFC title—their first since 2009—with a 5-0 record on the day while the women fenced to a 5-1 record and sit at 9-3 in NFC meets this year.


Women drop two conference games

The women’s basketball team played host to two University Athletic Association conference opponents this past weekend, losing contests to Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Chicago. The squad lost to the WashU Bears 77-58 Sunday afternoon after falling to the University of Chicago Maroons 67-50 Friday night. The Judges fall to 9-7 overall and 1-4 in UAA play.
