The University has replaced Barnes & Noble Booksellers with Follett to take over bookstore operations, Director of Strategic Procurement John Storti wrote in an email to the Justice.

Storti wrote that the contract between Follett and the University is a 10-year agreement, and took effect in mid-July. He did not specify when the decision to switch from Barnes & Noble to Follett was made.

“They are the largest campus bookstore provider with over 900 campus stores,” Storti wrote of Follett. He did not, however, address whether or not the same products would be sold under the new provider.

In addition to the change in operations, Storti wrote, there will be a renovation to the bookstore as well as to Einstein Bros. Bagels, some time after Thanksgiving break. He did not specify what sort of renovations these would include.
