A bit of advice for everyone, no matter your sign: the moon is in Cancer, which can lead to amplified emotions and potentially the want to distance yourself from others — be aware of this and look for ways to connect with others emotionally this week. Use this Cancer energy to do something creative, and let yourself be more comfortable in your emotions.
The Brandeis Asian American Student Association kicked off Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with their opening event this past Saturday, Feb. 12. I had never seen Julia Garner in any show until I watched “Ozark,” and I was completely blown away by her performance. So, when I was told the same actress was playing the title character in “Inventing Anna,” a Netflix show about real-life con artist Anna Delvey, I knew I had to watch it. Before starring in “Ozark” and “Inventing Anna,” Garner played Susan in the movie “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” She is Jewish and describes herself as being “half-Israeli,” as she has relatives from Israel whom she visits often. And, fun fact, she is married to singer Mark Foster from the band Foster the People.
The Razzies! nominations came out last Monday, February 8, leaving me with an impossible question: why should I care about The Razzies!?

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, put on a visual feast for the lovers of Impressionist art in the Linde Family Wing for Contemporary Art. Impressionism is an artistic movement developed by a group of French artists during the 19th century in pursuit of spontaneity and immediacy. The exhibition displays the artwork created by two of the most prominent French Impressionist masters, Claude Monet (1840-1926) and Auguste Rodin (1840-1917). The two artists were born two days apart and grew up to be friends and mutual supporters. By juxtaposing Monet’s paintings with Rodin’s sculptures, the exhibition creates an engaging visual dialogue between the two creative minds, inviting the viewer to contrast and compare their distinctive styles despite their selection of different artistic mediums.
This past weekend, Brandeis University’s music department organized a Chamber Music recital—for the first time in over a year—that allowed a live audience to join in appreciating the performing arts. “Wonderful” would be an understatement when describing the performances. Students shared their hard work by performing pieces from the likes of Ludwig van Beethoven, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Felix Mendelssohn as well as two jazz pieces. The recital enticed audience members from various walks of life. The students, music department and recital clearly demonstrated the mastery of the performers, drawing the audience with a euphony of instrumental duets and trios.
A note before beginning: 10 is an arbitrary number, so if you’re annoyed that your favorite songs of the year are not included in this list, feel free to assume that they were the next to be included if 10 wasn’t the standard.

For the few uninitiated, Spotify Wrapped is the annual, year-end summation of each individual user’s data that gets delivered to them by Spotify, usually in early December . Each Spotify user gets told their most listened to songs of the year, most listened to artists, their favorite podcasts and fun facts about their listening habits, all in the form of animated infographics. Apple Music has this too, it’s called Replay.
