Peacebuilding and the Arts unites its participants

The second-annual Peacebuilding and the Arts Symposium, sponsored by the International Center for Ethics, Justice, and Public Life, took place from Friday to Sunday this week in the Abraham Shapiro Academic Complex and the Slosberg Recital Hall.

Hootenany groups sing their hearts out

Hootenanny: According to Dictionary.com, the term means "an informal session at which folk singers and instrumentalists perform for their own enjoyment." This is a perfect description of the concert that took place on Saturday night in the Slosberg Recital Hall, titled "Hootenanny with Pesky J.

Brandeis' Punk, Rock n' Roll Club knew how to start the year off right. The first show of the semester on Saturday featured performances by up-and-coming indie-pop band Miniature Tigers and bizarre faux-Christian rock duo Lawrence Welks. Plot of 'Our Idiot Brother' tries too hard

Is there anything not to like about Paul Rudd? The guy is cute (in an approachable way), witty and hilarious, but he rarely crosses the line into bathroom humor the way some of his frequent collaborators do?I'm looking at you, Will Ferrell and Seth Rogen. His charm and deadpan delivery have made many of his characters, who would be otherwise unmemorable, the scene stealers and highlights of several of the best comedies of the last decade. It is this charm and wit that carries Our Idiot Brother, Rudd's latest movie and one of the few in which he plays the main character.

Something Borrowed' misses the point
