New England Patriots respond to early season troubles with dominant victory over Cincinnati Bengals

The New England Patriots bounced back from one of their worst regular season losses on Sept. 29 under head coach Bill Belichick?a 41-14 drubbing at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs?with a dominant 43-17 win on Sunday night over the previously undefeated Cincinnati Bengals.The win was by far the Patriots’ most impressive performance of the season thus far, pushing their season record to 3-2, including wins over the Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders.


Team tops Colby-Sawyer at home

The men’s tennis team hosted Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday for their only meet of the fall season, and the team came away with a dominant 8-1 victory to start the year.The Judges put the pressure on their opponent right from the start during the doubles matches and never let up, dropping just two sets overall between the three doubles matches and the six singles matches.


Opening round of NBA Playoffs providing no home court advantage for league's top-seeded teams

It took 82 games to decide home-court advantage throughout the NBA Playoffs, but after a week of basketball all of that could be thrown out the window. Of the eight playoff series in the first round, the only team to maintain its home court is the defending champion Miami Heat, which only had to contend with a limping Al Jefferson after he injured his plantar fascia in the opening minutes of the first game. Out of the seven series in which the higher seed has lost home court advantage, two teams lost both games at home. The Chicago Bulls, exceeding all expectations by grabbing the fourth seed after guard Derrick Rose went down for the second-straight season and forward Luol Deng was traded away to the Cleveland Cavaliers, have seemingly come down to earth and lost both home games to start off the series.
