Taking a cue from a recent survey, Campus Operations will be upgrading vending machines around campus to reflect new food preferences and payment options. In an email sent out to the student body on Oct. 13, Vice President of Campus Operations Jim Gray and Director of University Services Kevin Collen announced that the new machines will be installed around campus over the coming week.

Currently, most machines on campus accept only cash and coins, credit cards and WhoCash. The upgrade expands the options to include Apple Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay. Students will solely need to whip out their phone to grab the classic chips-and-energy-drink pairing – or, for the more health-conscious, the all-natural-chips-and-espresso combo.

Colleen did not return requests for comment as of press time.
