The women’s tennis team completed its fall season at the New England Women’s Intercollegiate Doubles Tennis Tournament last weekend, where two pairs of doubles rattled off perfect weekends.

            The meet, which lasted from Friday to Sunday, saw the pairs of Haley Cohen ’18 and Olivia Leavitt ’19 and Sophia He ’19 and Emily Eska ’16 turn in perfect weekends for the Judges.

            Cohen and Leavitt defeated counterparts from Simmons College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology during the tournament, shutting out the Simmons opponents 8-0 and topping the opposition from MIT by an 8-2 final.

            He and Eska were victorious over opponents from Amherst College and Colby College with 8-6 and 8-3 finals respectively.

            The duos of Keren Khromchenko ’19 and Maya Vasser ’16 and Sara Biswas ’16 and Charlotte Aaron ’18 both split their two weekend matches. Khromchenko and Vasser topped opposition from MIT with an 8-1 final before falling to Amherst 8-1. Biswas and Aaron were victorious 8-1 over Gordon College before falling 8-2 to opposition from Williams College.

            Hannah Marion ’16 and Danielle Simms ’18 dropped decisions to both Amherst and a duo from Simmons and MIT, falling 8-0 and 8-5.

            Michele Lehat ’19 and Ariana Ishaq ’19 were unable to pull out a victory in matches against Trinity College and Babson College, dropping a marathon 9-7 decision to Trinity and an 8-3 final to Babson.

            The Judges’ season resumes in February with a match at Bryant College before the team’s annual mid-winter trip to California.
