Medical Emergency

Sept. 28—Police and BEMCo responded to a report of a party with a sports-related elbow injury on the athletic fields outside of the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center. Cataldo Ambulance transported the party to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.

Sept. 28—University Police received a report of a male in Cable Hall with flu-like symptoms. BEMCo treated the party on-scene, and Cataldo Ambulance transported him to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.

Oct. 1—A party in the Village called BEMCo to request treatment for stomach pain. BEMCo treated the party on-scene, and University Police transported the patient to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.

Oct. 1—A party called to report that a 50-year-old custodial staff member at Turner Street looked faint.

University Police and BEMCo responded; BEMCo treated the party on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.

Oct. 1—A party calling from the rear Athletics Lot requested BEMCo for a possible broken finger from a sports-related injury.

Oct. 1—University Police received a call reporting that a student hit his head on a wall while playing basketball in the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center.

BEMCo treated the party with a signed refusal for further care.

Oct. 1—A female student in Shapiro Hall called complaining of stomach pain. BEMCo treated her on the scene with a signed refusal for further care.

Oct. 3—A caller reported that a staff member collapsed in the Usdan Student Center but regained consciousness.

University Police and BEMCo responded, and Cataldo Ambulance transported the staff member to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for further care.

Oct. 4—A trainer at the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center requested an ambulance for a reported head injury.

Waltham Fire Department Engine Four and Cataldo Ambulance responded; Cataldo transported the injured party to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for further care.

Oct. 4—A party reported that a student in Usen Hall was having a reaction to medication. University Police and BEMCo responded, and BEMCo staff members treated the party on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.

Oct. 5—A Community Advisor in Shapiro Hall called to request assistance for a male student who had been drinking alcohol. University Police and BEMCo responded; BEMCo staff treated the party on-scene with a signed refusal for further care.

Sex Crimes

Oct. 2—University Police received information about a past sexual assault which occurred in a residence hall, from the Dean of Students Office.

University Police compiled a report on the incident. The assault is currently under investigation.

Vandalism

Oct. 1—University Police received reports of vandalism occurring campus-wide on the “shade people display,” the cardboard cutouts of people relating to issues of immigration. Police compiled a report on the incident.

Larceny

Oct. 2—A reporting party stated that he left his bag tied to the rear cable of a computer in the Shapiro Campus Center and that the bag was gone when he returned.

University Police compiled a report on the theft.
